Walker Supply Chain Integration provides our customers with visibility to their pipeline via order management services including physical tracking of a shipment through final delivery, confirmation of supplier compliance, and relevant cost analysis. Walker can provide these services to virtually anyone anywhere in the world.
 
 
Supply Chain Integration – Order Management

Walker executes Order Management through the following tactics:

  1. Schedule distribution to non-EDI suppliers
  2. Forecast Reviews
    1. Compare forecast to historical demand trends
    2. Interface with the customer purchasing and engineering teams
  3. Order to Shipment Tracking
    1. Monitor the shipment of an order to the point of final delivery
  4. Exception Management
    1. Assist with the resolution of CUM discrepancies (ordered versus shipped versus received)
    2. Provide the customer with a root cause analysis for exceptions to the order
    3. Review and approve supplier short and long term corrective action plans
Supply Chain Integration – Supplier Relationship Manager
Walker executes Supplier Relationship Management through the following tactics:
  1. Database Management
    1. Maintain data integrity by performing system updates to both our customer and Walker’s supplier database
      • Walker’s database is designed to provide the user with the ability to query supplier information based on specific categories
    2. Establish and maintain supplier profile documents capturing unique supplier/customer requirements
  2. Communication
    1. Provide a single point of contact for supplier inquires
    2. Facilitate Supplier Training Workshops (Compliance to customer requirements)
Supply Chain Integration – Continuous Improvement

Walker’s Supply Chain Integration operation is designed to create a common point of reference to enable effective communication between the customer and the supplier base. The result is an increase in the efficiency of processes within the internal and external supply chain networks.

Walker executes Continuous Improvement through issue identification and solution proposals using the following tools:

    1. Manage reports designed to maintain service level standards and drive continuous improvement
